The 18-year-old actress and singer announced on her Twitter page, “I’m officially a Universal Republic recording artist and my 1st single will be dropping very soon. I love you. Thank you 4 being so patient!”

“Thank you for being the so amazing & supportive.. I know you’re going to love my album! It’s official! :D ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ #ArianaGrandeMusic,” Ariana added.

Over the weekend, Ariana checked out Katy Perry‘s concert in Los Angeles. Could she be getting inspiration for her own music?
