More tea is being spilled regarding the casting of Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana!!

If you missed it, last week, the show’s casting director Lisa London revealed the final three actresses who were in the running for the lead role of Hannah Montana.

Miley Cyrus was of course one of those finalists, and the one who ultimately landed the part.

Now, after Lisa‘s TikTok reveal has gone viral, another former Disney Channel star is speaking out, revealing her and her sister were originally offered the roles of the lead BFFs Hannah/Miley (originally Chloe) and Lilly Truscott (played by Emily Osment).

Selena Gomez is taking fans inside the infamous Hannah Montana house!

The 30-year-old took her Selena + Chef series on a little road trip in season four and filmed at the Malibu pad.

Fans quickly noticed which house it was when the trailer dropped earlier this month.

The beach front exterior was famously used as Miley Stewart’s house when they moved to Malibu for the show’s final season. It has also been used in other productions like Big Little Lies and Netflix’s Fatal Affair movie.

There were three actresses who were the top picks to play Hannah Montana in the hit Disney Channel series!

Casting director Lisa London revealed the two other actresses who were in the running, alongside Miley Cyrus, who of course ended up getting the role.

After another user shared a video saying Belinda (who was in Cheetah Girls 2!) was a top contender, Lisa “Just wanted to share my insight since Hannah was so huge. Things always work out the way they’re meant to be 💜”

It’s widely known that when Miley first auditioned, they thought she was too young and didn’t have enough experience. The character’s name was also originally Chloe Stewart before Miley eventually landed the role.

In a new TikTok, Lisa London shared some insight into the casting of the show.

“These were the final three actresses that auditioned at the network test, out of over 1,200 girls,” she says in the video.

There have already been some grainy photos released from Miley Cyrus‘ Hannah Montana anniversary party, but now we can show you the images taken from inside the event!

The 28-year-old singer was seen posing with a bunch of Hannah heads while celebrating with friends at the Rainbow Room on Thursday night (March 25) in West Hollywood, Calif.

Miley was joined by British musician Yungblud, The Kid LAROI and other friends while celebrating the Hannahversry.

The day before, Miley took to her social media pages to share a hand-written letter that she wrote to Hannah to celebrate the occasion. It has been 15 years since the show first premiered on Disney Channel!

Miley also sent big flower arrangements to a lot of the people who were involved in the show, including Joe Jonas, who was in the Best of Both Worlds concert movie.

Miley Cyrus is celebrating the 15th anniversary since Hannah Montana first premiered.

The 28-year-old entertainer starred as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana in the hit Disney Channel series from 2006-2011.

On Wednesday (March 24), Miley took to Instagram to share a letter she wrote to Hannah to celebrate the show’s premiere date anniversary – March 24, 2006.

“Since the first time I slid those blonde bangs over my forehead in the best attempt to conceal my identity. Then slipped into a puke pink terry cloth robe with a bedazzled HM over the [heart]. I didn’t know then… that is where you would live forever,” she wrote. “Not just in mine but millions of people around the world. Although you are considered to be an ‘alter ego’ in reality there was a time in my life when you held more of my identity in your glovette than I did in my bare hands.”

“We had an equal exchange in which you provided a superlative amount of fame in return for the anonymity I could gift to you. But, a lot has changed since then. You were like a rocket that flew to the moon + never brought me back down. I couldnt have imagined when taping myself singing ‘I love Rock N Roll’ against a white wall in my moms friends kitchen in Nashville, TN the name typed in marquee style letters on the front of a first draft script would make my wildest dreams a reality,” she continued.

“Not a day goes by I forget where I came from. A building in Burbank, California with a room full of people with the power to fulfill my destiny. And that they did. They gave me you. The greatest gift a girl could ask for. I love you Hannah Montana. Forever, Miley.”

Back in 2019, almost exactly two years ago, Miley got her real hair done to look just like the Hannah wig.

In February 2020, her dad Billy Ray got fans talking when he mentioned there was talk of a prequel. Then, in August, Miley opened up about the possibility of a Hannah Montana comeback.

During a radio interview on Friday morning (August 14), the 27-year-old dished on if she would ever bring back the fan favorite character.

“You know what honestly, I try to put that wig on all the time,” Miley told Carolina With Greg T In The Morning. “She’s just in storage collecting dust and I’m ready to whip her out… The opportunity will present itself. I definitely would like to resurrect her at some point.”

“She needs a big makeover because she’s kinda stuck in 2008, so we’ll need to go shopping with Miss Montana,” she continued. “And also yea I’d love to do a series again. I think it would be hard for me to get locked into a sound stage for a couple years, but that’s sometime in the future and hopefully I’m directing it.”

Back in March 2019, Miley turned her real hair to look just like the Hannah Montana wig.

Just recently, Hilary Duff opened up about the possibility of a Lizzie McGuire/Hannah Montana crossover!

Hilary Duff recently opened up about the possibilities of that actually happening.

“Oh my god, I’ve never heard that one. But you might be starting something right now,” Hilary told Cosmopolitan. “I love Miley [Cyrus], I recently was on her show that she created during the quarantine, and she’s just awesome.”

“She’s always showing me so much love and it kind of embarrasses me in a way,” she continued. “I’m like, come on, you’re like the epitome of cool and it’s really sweet that she’s just so vocal about being a fan growing up with me and I love her. And I don’t know, I’ve never thought about a Hannah Montana and Lizzie McGuire crossover, but never say never! Anything goes these days, right?”

Hilary also shared another update on the status of the Lizzie McGuire reboot.

“Yeah, you know what? I feel just as excited as everyone else. Obviously, I have felt love for that character and I feel particularly dedicated to the fans about making the exact show that it should be,” Hilary dished. “So you know, we started shooting, we stopped shooting and went back to the drawing board with Disney+, Disney, and myself to come up with something that works for all of us, and we’re still in the middle of that process.”

“Everything kind of got put on hold, especially now because of COVID. But no, we’re talking weekly and I feel really good about it. It’s a work in progress,” she said.
