Malese Jow Loves How Strong Her 'Flash' Character Is

Malese Jow takes in the breathtaking view in this new shot from the April 2015 issue of NKD mag.

The 24-year-old actress is opening up about The Vampire Diaries, The Flash and more. Check it:

On playing Anna on TVD: “The fan response to the writers and me were like, ‘What’s happening?’ Petitions, everything it was just crazy. I think the writers heard the outcry and even the crew was upset. They decided to write me back in for season three and close things up a little better. It was an interesting experience booking it, but it turned into something that I wasn’t even expecting. I thought I was going to be on the show for two to four episodes. It turned out being a part of two seasons and being a vampire when that whole thing was popular, so that was very special.”

On making future music: “Music is alwaysa constant thing for me; I’m always writing. I’m getting better at guitar and booking shows. That’s always something that’s in the works and I can’t wait for it to be a solid thing and I can release music, so keep your eye out.”

On her character on The Flash: “Linda is fun. She’s a strong women, which is good to see on TV. She’s secure in her skin; she doesn’t beat around the bush with anything. If she wants something she’s clear about it. She’s a career women, and it’s great to portray her. I hope she keeps doing the thang. I love how strong she is. I love how she doesn’t really worry herself with peoples opinions and all the petty drama that’s going on around her. I just hope that she stays that way and doesn’t become too soft or too persuaded by things that shouldn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.”

Malese Jow Was Late to Her First 'Flash' Audition!

Malese Jow Was Late to Her First 'Flash' Audition!

Malese Jow looks nothing short of gorgeous in this latest photo shoot feature for The Laterals.

The 23-year-old actress opened up to the site about her role on The Flash, and more. Check it:

On how she got the gig: “I had been super busy with auditions right before the holidays, and the Flash was one that was thrown into the mix. I was actually running late to my initial producers session, and was the last girl to show up. I’m usually Miss Punctuality so I was in a panic about it! I came running down the hall and straight into the room with all of the mastermind guys behind the show. Thankfully they helped me through my windedness and adrenaline and got a solid read out of me. Before I left the room, Andrew [Kreisberg] said ‘Watch, these are the kinds of auditions people book.’ I left thinking, ‘I sure hope so!’ The rest is history.”

On comic books: “I’m ashamed to admit that I was never huge into comic books growing up, but you can imagine the weight that I felt when I started extensively googling the character and realizing how iconic she is. It’s an absolute honor to bring her to life. I’m now the biggest fan of the comic book world. It’s like a dream come true.”

On the future: “I’m excited for people to discover me spreading my wings now as a grown woman in this business. I’ve grown up in front of the camera and up until now my fans have been so used to me playing a young girl. I can’t wait for them to see me in a different light on The Flash and in future projects!”
